Your goals, remembered.

Session Loop is Cowork that never forgets what you're building. Describe a long-running effort once — a launch, a raise, a content engine, a hiring push — and every future session it comes back, knows the next step, and picks up where you left off. No re-pasting, no re-explaining.

What it does

Persistent goal-memory for the work that spans weeks.

Every AI session starts from zero. Serious operators run the same handful of multi-week pushes for months and burn the first ten minutes of each session re-explaining context. Session Loop removes that tax. It keeps a small, human-readable memory of the programs you're running and brings them back every time you open Cowork. Say "what's next" on any given day and it tells you the single highest-impact move across everything you have in flight.

It's the difference between a chat tool and a system that actually carries your work forward.

How it works

Four everyday commands. One that runs on its own.

No accounts, no API keys. Just talk normally — these phrases trigger the right skill, and your loop is stored as plain Markdown files on your own machine.

“add to loop”

Start a new standing program. Session Loop asks a few light questions — outcome, phases, cadence, what it can do on its own vs. what needs you, deadline — and saves it.

“show my loop”

See every program, its progress, the next step, and what's overdue for review — grouped and scannable in one view.

“what's next”

Get the single best next action right now across all active programs, plus a short ranked backlog. The command that becomes muscle memory.

“update loop” / “close loop item”

Check off steps, log progress, pause a program, or retire a finished goal. Closed programs move to an archive you keep.

Runs automatically

Auto-resume

A start-of-session hook reloads your loop index every time a session begins, so your programs carry over on their own. Open a fresh session, say "what's next," and keep moving — nothing to re-explain.

Yours, on your machine

Everything lives as plain Markdown in ~/.session-loop/ — read it, edit it, back it up, or point it at a synced folder to carry your loop across devices. No credentials ever stored in loop files.

Who it's for

Built for people running several long efforts at once.

If you live in Cowork daily and juggle overlapping multi-week work, Session Loop is the memory layer you've been faking with copy-paste.

Founders & operators

Running several long, overlapping pushes — a launch, a raise, a hiring drive — who need each one to resume without a re-brief.

Solo builders & indie hackers

Who want one place that remembers every in-flight project and, on demand, the single next move worth making.

Consultants & agency owners

Juggling multi-week client programs that each need their own standing plan, cadence, and guardrails.

Simple pricing for a tool you'll open every day.

The honest v1 notes

What it is — and isn't — yet.

We'd rather you buy with clear eyes. Session Loop v0.1 is a local-first plugin, not a synced cloud service. Here's exactly where the edges are.

Straight answers

  • Local files, not a synced database. Your loop lives in a folder on one machine — point it at a synced folder to span devices.
  • No reminders or notifications. It resurfaces work when you open a session and ask, not between sessions.
  • Auto-resume loads the index, not every program. Deep detail is read on demand to keep session start fast.
  • Your data stays yours. Plain text you can read, edit, back up, or delete. No credentials in loop files.
